Presented with an excerpt from Adrian Piper’s ‘Notes on Funk’,
an essay about the artist’s series of social events where white
participants were taught to dance to funk music and initiate
a dialogue about culture.

There were limits imposed on each spread in that each had to have
a different amount of columns, with only a few opportunities for
images and/or large splash elements.
